DIVISION OF WORKERS’ COMPENSATION (DWC):
The DWC monitors the administration of workers’ compensation claims and provides administrative and judicial services to assist in resolving disputes that arise in connection with claims for workers’ compensation benefits. DWC’s mission is to minimize the adverse impact of work-related injuries on California employees and employers. (Click Here)

DWC Medical Unit:
The Medical Unit performs a variety of services related to delivery of medical benefits in the workers’ compensation system. One of its responsibilities is to certify and oversee groups – medical provider networks (MPNs) and health care organizations (HCOs) -- that provide care to injured workers. (Click Here)

Commission on Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation (CHWSC):
CHSWC is a joint labor-management body created by the workers’ compensation reform legislation of 1993 and charged with overseeing the health and safety workers’ compensation systems in California, and recommending administrative and/or legislative modifications to improve their operation. Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB):
The WCAB exercises all judicial powers vested by the Labor Code in a reasonable and sound manner and provides guidance and leadership to the workers’ compensation community through case opinions and regulations. (Click Here)
